Badminton Social | Nottingham was founded in late 2005. It began as a small group of friends, and has since grown to become the largest LGBT badminton club in the East Midlands.
We have members coming from across the region, and regularly attract 20 players or more each week from across Notts, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and beyond.
Whether you're a confident player, brand new to the sport or feeling a bit rusty and looking to get back on court, we aim to offer an inclusive and welcoming group, with the expectation that your confidence and abilities will grow and improve as you regularly attend. At each session we hire 4 courts to ensure we mix players of differing abilities to play a variety of games including some more challenging games with our advanced players.
We relocated to the Bluecoat Aspley Academy in the Spring of 2019, having been based at Samworth Academy since 2013. Prior to that we met at the Harvey Hadden Sports Centre, and were originally founded at the Victoria Leisure Centre in Nottingham city centre.
